The Jade Belt Path and the Cloud Pass are the same paths.
It is possible to hike to the Jade Belt Path. A trail begins 50m on the left just after the National Park entry booth which is located around 400m north west of the top of San Yue Street. It takes roughly 1 and a half hours to reach the Jade Belt path.
Alternatively, the Zhong He chairlift stops at the Jade Belt path. At the time of writing the cost was 60 RMB return or 30 RMB one way (plus the 40 RMB National Park entry fee). It begins about 300m past the same National Park entry booth.
Once on the Jade Belt path you can choose to head North or South. We recommend North as there are less people and you are much more likely to see some wildlife. There are even red pandas on CangShan mountain. The picture below was taken near WuWeiSi temple in 2016 (thanks to Thomas Gut from Germany). The TaoXi stream is very picturesque as well.
Heading north about 5km you will intersect with a long winding road. Look for a path straight down to to save about one hour walking time. You will eventually reach the highway. You can wait for a bus or just walk back.
