Bad Monkey Dali

Bad Monkey – The biggest party in Dali

The Bad Monkey

The Bad Monkey has been rocking the house since 2003. Owned by two Englishmen who have built the ultimate live music bar, the Bad Monkey offers a great party atmosphere every night. The business expanded in 2010, as the owners set out to revolutionize the beer drinking culture in China, by producing the finest craft beers in the country. Not to be missed, a visit to the Bad Monkey bar is an essential part of the Dali experience.

The Bad Monkey Steampunk Bar

Because one Bad Monkey just wasn’t enough! This steampunk themed bar is by far the most popular night in town, with live music every night, and an outstanding restaurant that serves up traditional Napoli-style pizza, epic burgers, daily food specials, and much, much more. And yes, the legendary craft beers are available here too. Situated just a few doors down from the other Bad Monkey on Renmin road.

The Backyard Bar

Tucked away down a little alley on the outskirts of the old town, the Backyard is run by a delightful couple who have created a relaxing spot to drink, socialize, and while away the hours. A small, but specialized menu offers great quality food, including the house speciality, traditional Quebe-style Poutine. Growing in popularity with the local expat community and Chinese people, this is a great place to make new friends. One of the best places to catch live sport. Open daily from 6pm.

Baldy’s Belgian Beer Garden

Situated on a corner of delightful Gwang Wu Lu, Baldy’s is run by a Belgian guy who specializes in imported Belgian beers, complimented by a range of great food, in a relaxing garden setting.

Zebra Bar

This live music bar is popular with Chinese tourists and offers a range of musical acts each evening. Now with a second location just five minutes up the road from the original bar.

Live House Pub

A relaxing live music venue, tucked away down a little alley off Renmin road. The Live House Pub is an inviting place to visit, that is only let down by the insane prices they charge for drinks.

Pheonix

If electronic music is your thing, the Pheonix has a DJ every night pumping out everything from Drum and Bass, to Techno, to Trance music. Next door to the Bad Monkey on Renmin road.
